Goudy Trajan Medium - a PostScript Type 1 font for Macintosh
Goudy Trajan is a professionally designed typeface from Castle Systems, based on drawings by the American type designer Frederic W. Goudy. A classic titling style, it is similar at first glance to Adobe’s Trajan by Carol Twombly, but, as one graphic designer described it, “more subtle and refined.” At the very least, it is very “Goudy.” Check it out and see for yourself, and to get an idea of the quality of more than 50 other beautiful display faces from the Castle Type Library.
Goudy Trajan Medium is distributed here as freeware for promotional purposes. This free version contains a complete set of uppercase letters only; for $20 you can get a fully registered copy that contains a complete character set that includes numerals, punctuation, foreign accents, and a small set of sample fleurons (from the font Castle Fleurons). Goudy Trajan Medium normally sells for $39 directly from Castle Systems, or $49 through FontHaus. Regular (Light) and Bold weights are also available. This package may be freely distributed as freeware as long as the following files are included:
